Set in the eerie, mystery-laden universe of Arkham Horror, this version of Love Letter adds a new layer of strategy and risk with a mechanic I didn’t know I needed: insanity.
Some cards in this version have insane abilities—powerful effects that can turn the tide of the round in your favor. But there’s a cost. Once you play an insane card, you’ve crossed into madness, and from then on, you’ll need to perform a Sanity Check on each future turn.
That means drawing cards face-up from the deck—one for every insane card you’ve played. If any of those drawn cards are also insane… you’re eliminated from the round. It’s a brilliant push-your-luck mechanic that makes each turn more tense and thrilling than the last. Do you play it safe, or will madness lead you to victory?
